Senior Mobile QA Engineer | Financial Services
Are you a high caliber Mobile Quality Engineer looking for your next challenge? We are seeking an experienced automation specialist for an initial 12 month role based in Melbourne, working on site with a leading financial services customer to enhance and scale critical native mobile applications.
In this role, you will drive end to end quality engineering across native mobile platforms and API architectures within an active continuous delivery squad. Beyond running test suites, you will act as a quality champion who proactively questions assumptions, translates technical risks into clear language for non technical business stakeholders, and uses modern observability tooling to isolate complex defect root causes.
The Tech Stack & Environment
- Mobile & Web Automation: XCUITest, Espresso, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium
- API & Mocking: REST APIs, Postman, Contract Testing, Pact, WireMock
- Observability & Triage: OpenTelemetry (OTel) traces, debug logs, Splunk, metrics
- Delivery & Tooling: Jira, Xray, Git, CI CD delivery pipelines
What You'll Bring
- Proven background testing native mobile applications within banking or financial services
- Deep experience building and maintaining mobile UI automation frameworks
- Solid capability in API testing, contract testing, and environment mocking
- Hands on troubleshooting skills using debug logs and OpenTelemetry traces to isolate defects
- strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to articulate risks and challenge assumptions
